We have had several complaints regarding our telephone prescription service.
Many patients have complained that they are often held in a queue for the call waiting to be answered, thisin turn costs patients more moneyfor their call.
We have audited the service and measured the time it takes a clerk to authorise a prescription via the telephone compared to via a manual request (i.e slip left in the box or request online) this has shown that it is far quicker to authorise a prescription by a manual request, and cheaper for the patient (hence no call costs)
We are thereforerequesting that from February 2012 all prescription requests are sent via one of the following options:
Slip in the box at either surgery: the box is located on the reception desk. the slip is known as the 'b' side and will be gven to you with your previous prescription.
Post the 'b' side to: 'Private & Confidential', Rx Service, Meden Medical Services, Warsop Primary Care Centre, Church Street, Warsop, NG20 0BP. (please leave sufficient time for your request to reach the surgery to be processed.)
or online here by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
We accept requests for repeat prescriptions online, 'b' side in the box at either surgery or in writing. Prescriptions can be sent to a local chemist or left for collection at the surgery. It is usual for repeat prescription orders to take two working days before being ready for collection at surgery and three working days before ready for collection at a pharmacy.
Any orders received after 12pm online or using the box in surgery will be dealt with on the next working day.
Please do not leave it until you have run out before you order your medication as we cannot guarantee the medications will be available or a prescription can be done in time.
Ways to order:
Online: see link at top of page.
'B' Side in Surgery: there is a box located on both reception desks at the sugeries for you to put your 'b' side in.
In writing to:
'Private & Confidential', Rx Service, Meden Medical Services, Warsop Primary Care Centre, Church Street, Warsop, NG20 0BP
Please allow 48 hours for collection from the surgery or 72 hours for collection from the chemist, excluding Weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
